Savor the catch of the day cooking in the fully equipped kitchen or if you don't want to cook you can easily walk to local restaurants in the area. Every surface in the house was covered with decorative knick knacks and clutter, which made it hard to find anywhere to put our things. There was very little storage in the kitchen for our food. The closets were both locked so there was basically no storage at all. The stairs are very steep, narrow and treacherous, very dangerous for our grandchildren. The third bathroom is not accessible from inside the house, that should have been noted in the description. The AC was not balanced so the back bedrooms were very warm, the AC repairman came but there wasn't much he could do. We had closed off the ducts in the great room and that helped some. I really appreciated how quickly you responded to our issues, the coffeemaker broke and a new one was brought that same day. the AC repair guy came within an hour or so of my call. Very nice staff and it really makes a difference, thank you! It was also a real help not to have to strip all the beds and linens in bags, saved us a lot of time.

Our stay was nice and the house was great. I did think letting guests know the washer/dryer is outside might would be beneficial. I understand there is no room in the house but just letting people know would be nice. A covering should be installed on the stairway if the washer and dryer are outside. We were there during a tropical storm so going outside to do that was a bit dangerous and someone could get hurt carrying a laundry basket outside, downstairs in the pouring down rain. With all of that said, having the washer and dryer were a major plus and also an extra bathroom with a shower. That was well thought out. However, reading about the house, no where does it say the 3rd bathroom and the washer/dryer are outside. We did cook a lot at the house and used the oven so having an oven mitt also would be nice. We had to use the only dish towel given to get hot things out of the oven. Ants were noticed in the bathrooms as well. We had a great time and would definitely consider staying there again though.

We had such a wonderful trip. Tropical storm Debby tried to ruin our stay but we powered through the storm. The house was super cute. It had everything we needed. It wouldn’t hurt to note that the washer/dryer are outside. I was very thankful we had it but it wasn’t so great going outside in the rain to carry our laundry. Kitchen could use some extra dish towels and maybe an oven mitt or 2. We would definitely stay again at this sweet place. The owners have truly thought of everything that would be needed during a vacation stay. Even laundry baskets in all of the rooms and extra fans as well and the speaker in the bathroom was a big hit. We loved our trip and always love our stay in Oak island. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
